In the ever competitive world of headwear, Threads by Reliable of Milwaukee has been able to stay on top for three main reasons.

First, the knowledge of the manufacturing process allows us to give our factories the most important instructions on how we want the products to look like at the retail level. From 1911 until 2005, we manufactured all our products in Milwaukee, until we could just not compete with the imported products. We decided to stay in business, fight back and continue offering great headwear products to the industry. We have maintained several key manufacturing employees here in Milwaukee who know what our high standards are and make sure the factories maintain them.

Next, the Threads sales staff is second to none when it comes to working with customers on their specific headwear needs. We have fantastic in line products for ski & snowboard, department store fashion, urban, street wear and outdoor technical hats that really check out and produce excellent profits. The Threads brand is exciting in itself, but challenge us on your private label or co-branding needs and we will come through as we have done for 100 years.

Finally, our in-house design staff is the most talented group of people we have ever had. They come up with amazing concepts for each division of headwear we have and keep a close eye on new trends in the market. There are countless instances that Reliable has introduced headwear, well before our competitors and it has not been purchased by the buyers for that season. All of a sudden, two years later the retailers are showing similar items and we get a kick out of it. Maybe we did not get the sale, but we know that our staff was ahead of its' time and that makes us proud.
